Iran & Turkey aid Iraq in taking back land from Kurds

Kurds on social media expressed their displeasure with the US, feeling abandoned, as Iraqi troops aided by Iran & Turkey lowered Kurdish flags in the city of Kirkuk, replacing them with the Iraqi flag. Kurds are dependent on large oilfields near the city, to secure an independent state. Iraq’s central government has been weakened previously by the Kurdish illegal oil trade, which some say contributed to the rise of ISIS.

“We #Kurds will never forget your treason 🖕#USA gov #Kirkukِ #TwitterKurds”

“”You were great fighting ISIS. Now, bye”, as they watched Iraq and Iran lowering Kurdish flags in Kirkuk.”

“Kurds fight IS after Iraq abandons Kirkuk.. .then iraq sides with Shia militia to take Kirkuk from Kurds”

“Iran and Turkey both colluding with Iraq in crushing Kurds. Whatever other disagreements, they always come together to oppress minorities.”

“Israel pls do not let kurds die silently like holocaust by Iranian backed militia in Iraq, we are your true friend under serious threat”

“Biggest mistake Kurds made was intervening and helping Iraq defeat ISIS. We should have sat back and watched Iraq burn to the ground.”

Iraqi volunteer forces reject cooperation with U.S. army

The Iraqi Volunteer Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi) categorically rejected a Bloomberg report on their cooperation with the American troops in Iraq.

“There is no cooperation and coordination with the Americans to win back the regions controlled by the ISIL,” Spokesman of Iraqi Volunteer Forces Karim al-Nouri said in reaction to news reports on Hashd al-Shaabi’s cooperation with US forces.

A Bloomberg View column, citing two unidentified American administration officials, claimed Hashd al-Shaabi forces groups are sharing use of a military base with US troops.

Earlier today, Pentagon Spokesman Colonel Steve Warren also rejected that the US army is sharing its new military base in Iraq’s Anbar province with volunteer forces.

Earlier this month, Secretary-General of the powerful Badr Organization Hadi al-Ameri underlined that the Iraqi forces, including the Shiite volunteers, have no need to the US assistance in their fight against the ISIL terrorist group.

Al-Ameri said that sending more American troops will damage the plan to free Iraqi cities and towns from ISIL control.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.

U.S. strikes Iraqi Army position, delivers arms to ISIL

Fighter jets of the US-led coalition once again struck the Iraqi forces in the Western province of Anbar on Saturday. The US-led coalition warplanes hit a position of the Iraqi army in Anbar province. The US has repeatedly struck the popular forces’ positions in different parts of Iraq.

In early June, the US-led coalition warplanes hit the bases of Iraqi army’s Hezbollah battalions in Fallujah in Anbar province, killing 6 soldiers and injuring 8 others. In early May, the anti-ISIL coalition forces struck the position of Iraq’s popular forces near Baghdad, killing a number of volunteer forces.

The US-led coalition warplanes hit an arms production workshop of the popular forces near the Iraqi capital, destroying the workshop and its ammunition completely. Two members of Iraq’s popular forces were killed in the attack.

On March 29, the US fighter jets struck the positions of Iraq’s popular forces during their fierce clashes with ISIL terrorists near Tikrit, injuring a number of fighters. globalresearch.ca

Iraqi army release photo of downed US chopper arming ISIL

Iraqi forces on February 18 managed to end ISIL’s 10-day siege of al-Baghdadi district’s residential area and killed about 150 terrorists, according to police sources.

Last Monday, a senior lawmaker disclosed that Iraq’s army had shot down two British planes as they were carrying weapons for the ISIL terrorists in Al-Anbar province.

“The Iraqi Parliament’s National Security and Defense Committee has access to the photos of both planes that are British and have crashed while they were carrying weapons for the ISIL,” al-Zameli said, according to a Monday report of the Arabic-language information center of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.

He said the Iraqi parliament has asked London for explanations in this regard.

The senior Iraqi legislator further unveiled that the government in Baghdad is receiving daily reports from people and security forces in al-Anbar province on numerous flights by the US-led coalition planes that airdrop weapons and supplies for ISIL in terrorist-held areas.

The Iraqi lawmaker further noted the cause of such western aids to the terrorist group, and explained that the US prefers a chaotic situation in Anbar Province which is near the cities of Karbala and Baghdad as it does not want the ISIL crisis to come to an end.

Earlier today, a senior Iraqi provincial official lashed out at the western countries and their regional allies for supporting Takfiri terrorists in Iraq, revealing that US and Israeli-made weapons have been discovered from the areas purged of ISIL terrorists.

“We have discovered weapons made in the US, European countries and Israel from the areas liberated from ISIL’s control in Al-Baqdadi region,” the Al-Ahad news website quoted Head of Al-Anbar Provincial Council Khalaf Tarmouz as saying.

He noted that the weapons made by the European countries and Israel were discovered from the terrorists in the Eastern parts of the city of Ramadi.

Al-Zameli had also disclosed in January that the anti-ISIL coalition’s planes have dropped weapons and foodstuff for the ISIL in Salahuddin, Al-Anbar and Diyala provinces. farsnews.com

Hezbollah: U.S. not serious about fight against ISIL

Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement Sheikh Naim Qassem lambasted the US for its lack of serious fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and stressed that Washington only means to weaken the terrorist group.

“Since the beginning, the US supported the ISIL and thought that it can use the group for confronting the Islamic Republic of Iran and the regional nations to rearrange the regional structure. They attempted to overthrow the Syrian government and annihilate it by the help of this group (but failed),” Qassem told FNA on Tuesday.
He said the US felt endangered when it saw the ISIL has grown so powerful that it has surrounded swathes of land in Syria and Iraq and was threatening Washington’s interests. “And now the US is after weakening the role of the ISIL to control it but it’s not after its annihilation.”

Qassem said that the United States’ actual policy on the ISIL will be revealed in the next few days.

The ISIL has seized parts of Northern Iraq and Syria so far. The terrorist group has been committing heinous crimes in the captured areas, including the mass execution of civilians.

Iranian officials have on many occasions underlined that the ISIL is a protégé of the US and its regional allies, specially Israel and Saudi Arabia, and said that the US was merely pretending to be fighting the ISIL in Iraq.

“The ISIL terrorist group is a joint product of the US, the Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia in the region and there is no doubt in this,” Rapporteur of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told FNA on Sunday.

He described the US airstrikes against the ISIL’s positions in Iraq as a political and military gesture.

In relevant remarks last month, Naqavi Hosseini cautioned that the ISIL terrorist group was taking advantage of differences among different political groups in the Middle East in the interest of Israel.

“The ISIL is a protégé of the security services of the US and Saudi Arabia, and is pursuing the Zionist regime’s objectives as its infantry force,” Naqavi Hosseini said.

He pointed to Iraq’s political developments, and said, “The Takfiri terrorists declared the so-called Islamic caliphate by misusing the differences existing among Iraq’s parties and exactly at the time when the country was preparing to form a (new) government after the elections.”

Naqavi Hosseini noted that the Muslim countries of the region should help Iraq in all areas once the new government starts work. farsnews.com

Deputy Iranian FM: US trying to turn Iraq into another Ukraine

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed concern about the situation in Iraq, and said that the US is trying to create a chaotic atmosphere in the Arab country similar to what it did in Ukraine.

“The events in Iraq are following a plan by the United States to turn the country into a second Ukraine,” Reuters quoted Amir Abdollahian as saying in Moscow.

The Iranian deputy foreign minister pointed to Iraq’s incidents, and said, “What is going on in Iraq is a psychological and media war by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) to make the country insecure.”

Amir Abdollahian noted that Iran is ready to help Iraq if requested by the country, and said, “Iraq has not asked for Iran’s help, but Tehran is ready to dispatch weapons to Iraq within the framework of fighting terrorism.”

He reiterated that if the Iraqi ministry to fight terrorism calls for foreign aid Iran will provide such supports in accordance with international laws.

In similar remarks last week, Hamid Aboutalebi, the Iranian President’s Deputy Chief of Staff compared Iraq’s present conditions with Ukraine’s conditions before the separation of Crimea, and said, “I caution the Iraqi statesmen to take lesson from Ukraine’s recent political developments.”

He further noted that if the Iraqi people and leaders do not show sufficient wisdom and do not take warnings as serious, Iraq will face a similar fate like Ukraine. farsnews.com

Iraq calls UN to hold Saudi Arabia accountable for terrorism

Iraqi P.M. Nouri al-Maliki informed UN Secretary General Ban Kyi-moon, that Saudi Arabia must be held accountable for the wave of terror attacks that has cost the lives of 640 in Iraq over the first 17 days of 2014.

UN Secretary General Ban Kyi-moon and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki met in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, where the two touched on the wave of terrorism that has cost the lives of 640 over the first 17 days of 2014. Al-Maliki held Saudi Arabia and Qatar accountable for sponsoring terrorism in Iraq and the UN Secretary General considers reviewing Iraqi reports with the UN Security Council.

The Turkish Aydinlik Daily (AD) reports, that confession of an Al-Qaeda member to the Iraqi security services personally implicated the head of Saudi Arabia’s intelligence service, Prince Bandar bin Sultan in the deadly wave of terrorism.

Discussing the Saudi support of terrorists in Iraq with the UN Secretary General, the Iraqi P.M. stressed that Iraq had previously notified the UN Security Council about the Saudi and Qatari state-sponsorship of terrorism in Iraq, and referred to two previous UN Resolutions which were condemning the two countries for their financial and intelligence support of terrorist groups, reports AD. nsnbc.me
